By submitting your application online, you can reduce the time it takes for your application to be processed and for you to receive your incentive check. This online form will take you through the entire incentive application process, from setting up an account to submitting your application. You will be required to fax or mail in a signed submission page with a detailed invoice at the end to complete your application.

This application is for existing building lighting projects only. If your project is new construction, an agriculture facility, or any project other than lighting, this is not the correct application. Please visit our Financial Incentives Web page to find the correct paper application.

Before proceeding, please take a moment to verify your eligibility and make sure you have the necessary information to complete the application.

  1. Does your electric provider participate in Focus on Energy?
To be eligible for a Focus on Energy incentive, your electric provider must participate in Focus on Energy. Please view our participating providers list to see if your electric provider is listed.
  2. Do you have your Federal Tax ID number?
To process your application Focus needs your Federal Tax ID number (commonly know as FEIN) or your social security number (if you are a sole proprietor).
  3. Do you have an itemized invoice for your project?
A proper itemized invoice is required for the qualification and verification of the equipment installed. Not having a proper itemized invoice could delay or prevent your application from being processed. Your itemized invoice should contain the following:
    1. Invoice date and number (packing slips, quotes or proposals do not qualify)
    2. Quantity or number of items purchased and installed
    3. Manufacturer and model numbers of each of the items purchased and installed
    4. Dollar amounts of each line item on your invoice.
  4. Has your market provider already provided your incentive on the invoice?
In some cases the market provider (the company that provided your equipment or service) will give a business the incentive as a credit on the invoice. If so, the incentive check will be made payable and mailed directly to the market provider. You will need to know the FEIN or social security number and business classification of your market provider to complete the application. In addition, the credit needs to be clearly stated on your invoice as a Focus on Energy incentive.

Now that you have verified your eligibility and have all the necessary information, please proceed.
